Actor Malcolm‑Jamal Warner has died at age 54 after an accidental drowning in
Costa Rica, where he and a friend were caught in a strong rip current while swimming off Playa Cocles.
Bystanders and volunteer rescuers pulled him from the water and attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
