Continuing Promise 2025 team concludes week‑long health and civic operations in Limón
The USNS Comfort departed
Costa Rica Thursday following the successful conclusion of its fifth Continuing Promise 2025 mission stop in Limón.
While docked for about a week, the Mercy‑class hospital ship delivered comprehensive medical, dental and surgical care to hundreds of Costa Rican patients, collaborated on disaster preparedness training with local officials, hosted veterinary and public health seminars, and sponsored community outreach events, including performances by the U.S. Fleet Forces Band ‘Uncharted Waters.’ The CP25 mission, now in its 16th iteration, fostered regional partnership by integrating U.S. Navy medical teams with Costa Rican health authorities to enhance local resilience and goodwill.
