The Spanish company divests majority ownership in Chiripa project.
Spanish energy company Acciona has announced the sale of a 65 percent stake in its Chiripa wind farm in
Costa Rica to Ecoenergia.
The 49.5-megawatt facility has been a key part of
Costa Rica’s renewable energy grid, and the deal reflects growing investor interest in the country’s clean energy sector.
The company says the move allows it to recycle capital for new projects.
