Emergency services respond to a motorcycle-related accident involving a child and an elderly pedestrian in Desamparados.
On the morning of May 23, 2025, a traffic incident occurred in front of the San Miguel Catholic Church in Desamparados,
Costa Rica, resulting in injuries to a 10-year-old girl and a 70-year-old woman.

At approximately 7:10 a.m., the Red Cross confirmed that the young girl was transported in critical condition to the Hospital Nacional de Niños, while the elderly woman was taken to the Marcial Fallas clinic for medical evaluation.
