Heavy Rainfall and Storms Expected in Central Valley and Coastal Areas

National Meteorological Institute forecasts significant precipitation across various regions of the country on June 11 due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
The National Meteorological Institute has issued a warning regarding rainy conditions across multiple regions of the country on Wednesday, June 11, attributable to the instability generated by the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

During the early morning and morning hours, both the Caribbean and Pacific slopes are expected to experience partially cloudy skies with localized rain near the coasts.

In the afternoon, an increase in cloud cover will likely lead to showers, predominantly in the mountainous regions of the Caribbean, northern areas, and the southern Pacific coast.

In the Central Valley, the day will begin with partial cloudiness, which is anticipated to increase in the afternoon, leading to isolated rainfall and storms.

In San José, temperatures will range from a minimum of 18.7 °C to a maximum of 26.5 °C.

The Northern Pacific will exhibit variable cloudiness in the first half of the day, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected in the southwest during the afternoon and evening.

Nicoya will experience temperatures ranging from 22.9 °C to 34.6 °C.

In the Central Pacific, coastal showers are expected in the morning, with isolated downpours and possible thunderstorms projected for the afternoon.

Parrita's temperature values will range from 18 °C to 31.1 °C.

The Southern Pacific will see dispersed rainfall beginning in the early hours, with heavy downpours and storms likely in the afternoon and evening, particularly near the coast.

Golfito temperatures are expected to range between 21.4 °C and 28.3 °C.

In the Northern Caribbean, the morning will remain partially cloudy, while the afternoon will bring scattered downpours with potential storms.

Guápiles is forecasted to have a minimum of 22.6 °C and a maximum of 27.7 °C.

The Southern Caribbean is also likely to encounter partially cloudy skies, with an increase in cloudiness towards the afternoon, leading to scattered rain and thunderstorms.

In Limón, temperatures are projected to range from 21.6 °C to 28.8 °C.

In the Northern Zone, variable cloudiness is expected during the morning, with scattered showers and possible storms forecasted for the afternoon.

Ciudad Quesada will have a minimum temperature of 17.4 °C and a maximum of 26.9 °C.

The influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone is set to increase humidity and atmospheric instability, favoring precipitation primarily in the latter part of the day.

Notable celestial events include sunrise in San José at 5:15 AM and sunset at 6:33 PM, while the lunar phase remains at full moon.
