ICE announces planned electricity cuts for maintenance and infrastructure repairs.
The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) has announced a series of power outages scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, across various regions of
Costa Rica.
These outages are part of routine maintenance activities, which include tree trimming and the replacement of damaged infrastructure.
In Alajuela, residents in the El Tajo and Rincón de Cacao sectors of the central district will experience a power interruption from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM due to scheduled maintenance work.
In Guanacaste, the community of Los Terreros in the canton of Liberia will face a power outage from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, attributed to tree pruning near the electrical lines.
Additionally, in Nacascolo, particularly in the Las Trancas community, another maintenance suspension is set for the same timeframe of 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Within Cartago, the canton of Turrialba will see electricity cuts affecting the community of La Suiza and areas extending to Grano de Oro.
This interruption will occur between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, necessitated by the replacement of a damaged pole and ongoing maintenance tasks.
ICE advises all residents in the affected communities to take precautions to mitigate any inconveniences during the scheduled outage hours.
