The incident occurred on March 6, 2025, at approximately 6:23 PM in Montes de Oca, San José, when the suspect allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with a cyclist riding a bicimoto.
Investigators from the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) are leading the case and have released a video to assist in garnering information from the public about the suspect, who is being pursued on charges of negligent injuries.
Witness accounts indicate that following the impact, the victim was left on the ground with significant injuries, while the driver fled the scene.
Descriptions of the suspect include a slender build, light brown skin, a bushy beard, and long hair styled in dreadlocks.
At the time of the incident, the individual was reportedly wearing a black t-shirt and pants, along with white sneakers.
The vehicle involved is identified as a grey Suzuki Swift, manufactured between 2012 and 2015, featuring four doors.
