A shooting incident unfolded on June 9, 2025, at a well-known hamburger restaurant located in the San Francisco district of Goicoechea, resulting in one individual sustaining serious injuries.

The event occurred during the night at a busy shopping center, prompting a response from local law enforcement.

According to the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ), preliminary investigations reveal that a man had arrived at the restaurant with the intent to sell a gold chain to an acquaintance.

However, during this meeting, two assailants allegedly approached and forcibly took the gold chain, as well as a firearm from the seller.

Reports indicate that the assailants opened fire several times, hitting the victim, identified as 38-year-old Cárcamo, in the buttocks and abdomen.

He was subsequently transported to Calderón Guardia Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The incident caused panic among patrons present at the restaurant, many of whom sought safety by taking cover under tables.

Miraculously, no other individuals in the vicinity were reported to have sustained injuries.

Law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack, which is initially suspected to be a robbery, although the exact motivation behind the shooting is still under examination.
