Thunder Steal Momentum from Pacers with Dramatic Game 4 Victory

Oklahoma City evens the NBA Finals at 2-2 after overcoming a ten-point deficit in Indiana.
The atmosphere at Bankers Life Fieldhouse reached a fever pitch as the Indiana Pacers sought to secure a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

However, the Oklahoma City Thunder, propelled by the standout performance of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, executed a remarkable comeback in Game 4. The Thunder overcame a ten-point deficit in the second half to clinch a 111-104 victory, thus evening the series at 2-2.

The contest was marked by intense competition, with the Pacers striving to defend their home court with fervor.

With just 23 seconds remaining, the score stood at 107-103 in favor of Oklahoma City, who maintained composure under pressure, managing the clock with a veteran's poise.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder, scoring 35 points, including 15 in a high-stakes fourth quarter.

Jalen Williams contributed 27 points, while Alex Caruso added 20. Rookie Chet Holmgren recorded a crucial double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Notably, the Thunder made only three three-pointers throughout the game, their lowest tally of the season, and Gilgeous-Alexander did not register a single assist.

Meanwhile, the Pacers faced a missed opportunity after a strong performance in Game 3. Although the team displayed collective effort, they struggled with decision-making in critical moments, a shortfall that can be detrimental in the Finals.

With the series tied at 2-2, attention shifts to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Monday at 6:30 PM EDT, where the victor will gain crucial control in what has proven to be an unpredictable Finals series, with each quarter unfolding like a new chapter.

The Pacers are acutely aware of the significant chance they allowed to slip away, while the Thunder return home buoyed by renewed confidence and momentum.
