On March 22, 2025, the Amón neighborhood of San José,
Costa Rica, hosted the eleventh edition of the Amón Cultural Festival, which transformed the area into an open-air celebration of art, music, and local culinary delights.
This year’s festival featured performances by prominent artists including Carlos Tapado Vargas, Cantoamérica, and Éditus, alongside a fashion show held in Parque España.
The festival comprised more than 60 activities, engaging both residents and visitors through historical tours, experimental cinema, photography exhibitions, dance presentations, and a variety of gastronomic events.
The rich architectural heritage of Amón, combined with its evolving cultural offerings, positions the festival as a key attraction for those wishing to explore the vibrant essence of San José.
The event saw participation from various age groups, including families and pets, drawing crowds to the streets and historic buildings throughout the neighborhood.
Cultural exhibits included an art display by Emma Segura as part of the 'EMIC/ETIC' exhibition at TEOR/ética.
Throughout the day, the summery weather highlighted the colorful façades of local buildings, providing picturesque backdrops for visitors’ photographs.
The festival also featured interactive installations, such as performances by the group Pintal, whose members donned forest-themed costumes and engaged attendees in photo opportunities, further enriching the communal atmosphere of the event.
