Coca-Cola FEMSA, the bottler of the Coca-Cola system, has announced a significant investment of $45 million in
Costa Rica, specifically aimed at increasing the production capacity of its plant located in Calle Blancos.
This project includes the establishment of a new production line which is expected to optimize operational capacity to meet the demand from customers and consumers.
Additionally, the project involves the expansion of the warehouse for finished products and raw materials.
The investment also encompasses the construction of a new distribution center, according to a statement released by the Promotora de Comercio Exterior (Procomer).
The new phase of the plant is slated for inauguration in September 2025.
Coca-Cola FEMSA indicated that this initiative will allow for an increase in production capacity, improvement in logistical efficiency, reinforcement of supply within the country, and a boost to exports to markets such as Nicaragua and Panama.

The company serves over 270 million consumers throughout the region and markets approximately 4 billion unit cases annually through more than 2.1 million points of sale.
It operates 56 manufacturing plants and 252 distribution centers.
In 2024, foreign direct investment (FDI) led to the generation of 8,082 net jobs in
Costa Rica through the implementation of 61 new investment projects and 100 reinvestments, according to Procomer data.
