Fatal Shooting Incident in Pavas Claims Life of 33-Year-Old Man

On March 17, 2025, a 33-year-old man, identified by the last name González, was pronounced dead after being shot in the head during the early hours of the morning in Pavas, Costa Rica.
The Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) confirmed the victim's identity and the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to initial reports, González was in a public area when he was approached by two unidentified men.
One of the assailants allegedly fired multiple shots, striking González in the chest, jaw, and lower torso.
Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene.
González's body was subsequently transported to the judicial morgue for an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
The OIJ is currently working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the shooting.
