Intense Heat Expected Across Costa Rica on April 1

High temperatures predicted, with Guanacaste potentially exceeding 38°C.
The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) has announced that on April 1, Costa Rica will experience high temperature conditions characterized by mostly clear skies across much of the country.

The IMN indicated a decrease in humidity levels, alongside moderate trade winds in the morning, with elevated temperatures anticipated by midday.

The likelihood of rain is low, with localized showers expected only in the mountainous regions of southwestern Los Santos and the Gulf Dulce area.

In the Central Valley, skies will remain clear in the early morning and slightly cloudy by afternoon.

No rain is anticipated, with temperatures in San José ranging from a minimum of 18.2°C to a maximum of 27.6°C.

The Northern Pacific region will have a completely sunny day, with moderate winds in the morning and no cloud cover at night.

Liberia is projected to experience the highest temperatures in the country, with values between 21.8°C and 38.6°C.

In the Central Pacific, the forecast indicates little cloud cover in the morning, transitioning to partial cloudiness by afternoon.

Parrita is expected to record temperatures between 18.8°C and 32.1°C. The Southern Pacific region will maintain stable conditions, with partly cloudy skies throughout the day, and temperatures in Golfito set to range from 22.4°C to 31.5°C.

The Northern Caribbean will see a mix of partially cloudy skies with no precipitation expected.

Guápiles will have temperatures between 21.4°C and 28.8°C. In the Southern Caribbean, partial cloudiness is forecasted both in the morning and at night, with Limón reaching temperatures from a minimum of 23°C to a maximum of 30.5°C.

The Northern Zone is anticipated to start the day with minimal cloud cover, with cloud formations expected in the afternoon, though no precipitation is forecasted.

Ciudad Quesada will register temperatures fluctuating between 17.7°C and 28.7°C.

The IMN emphasized that heat will be a predominant factor throughout the day, particularly in the Pacific regions and the northern area, supported by the decrease in humidity and the absence of widespread rainfall.

Astronomical data for San José indicates sunrise at 5:33 AM and sunset at 5:47 PM, while the moon is in a waxing crescent phase.
