Melissa Umaña and Diego Vargas announce their wedding event, inviting colleagues and friends to join the festivities.
On March 29, 2025, journalists Melissa Umaña from Giros and Diego Vargas, known as the Mochilero from Informe 11, will tie the knot in a wedding ceremony in Pérez Zeledón,
Costa Rica.
The ceremony is set to take place at the San Isidro de El General Cathedral at 2 PM, with approximately 200 guests expected, including Carlos Hernández, the president of Repretel.
The couple has expressed their desire to organize the event in a manner that reflects their personal style, opting for a celebration that prioritizes enjoyment and a relaxed atmosphere over formal protocols.
'What we want is for there to be joy and fun,' Melissa remarked, emphasizing the couple's intention for guests to truly enjoy the occasion.
Following the religious ceremony, a festive reception will be held, expected to last until the early morning hours of March 30. Guests will be treated to a variety of food options, including chickpeas, seasoned rice, and chicharrones (fried pork skin).
The festivities will include live music, and the couple plans to serve chicharrones with yucca late in the evening.
Melissa and Diego first met at Repretel nearly seven years ago and transitioned from colleagues to partners, officially becoming a couple in mid-2021. In October 2023, during a visit to Universal Studios in Hollywood, California, Diego proposed to Melissa, culminating in the upcoming nuptials.
As the wedding day approaches, preparations are in full swing, with the couple focused on creating an event that encapsulates their vision of a joyful gathering for all attendees.
