Johanna Solano, a Costa Rican model and former beauty queen, is currently hospitalized in South Africa following a severe accident during a mountain biking competition.

The incident occurred last Wednesday, when Solano fell during one of the stages of the race, resulting in significant injuries to her right knee.

Following the accident, she underwent surgery and remained hospitalized for recovery, although she has since been discharged.

In a recent statement, Solano opened up about her harrowing experience, expressing the intense pain she has endured over the past week.

She described the ordeal as one of the most painful experiences of her life, characterized by continuous discomfort that has hindered her ability to move, sleep, or find rest.

Despite her challenging condition, which has necessitated the use of a wheelchair for mobility, Solano conveyed a message of hope and gratitude.

"Do not be fooled by the smile...

These last seven days have been filled with some of the worst pain I've experienced, without the ability to move or rest at all," she said from her location in South Africa.

In her remarks, Solano emphasized the importance of moving forward with optimism, stating, "Life waits for no one, and we must continue with gratitude.

Tomorrow will be better."

Amid her recovery, Solano’s situation has raised questions regarding her participation in an upcoming television project.

Teletica, a Costa Rican television channel, has announced her as a presenter for the reality singing competition 'Nace una estrella,' set to premiere on April 6. However, it is currently uncertain whether she will be able to join the show at its launch.
