The basketball legend makes a second trip to Costa Rica, fueling speculation about his sport fishing interests.
Renowned basketball icon Michael Jordan has returned to
Costa Rica, as confirmed by the General Directorate of Immigration (DGME).
Jordan arrived in his private Gulfstream 650ER jet at Juan Santamaría International Airport.
Although the specific reasons for his visit remain undisclosed, media reports suggest he intends to engage in sport fishing, which has become a favored pastime for him in recent years.
Tomás Cubero, an experienced aircraft spotter, noted, 'He arrived in a spectacular new Gulfstream 650ER from Palm Beach, FL (KPBI) as EJM2 'Jetspeed 2.''
Costa Rica's Pacific coast, renowned for its natural beauty, continues to attract celebrity visitors, Jordan included.
Jordan's previous visit to
Costa Rica occurred from January 6 to 12, during which he participated in the Pelagic Rockstar Offshore sportfishing tournament held in Quepos.
This event saw the participation of over 115 boats and more than 1,000 individuals.
During that trip, Jordan arrived in Guanacaste before participating in fishing activities in the Central Pacific region aboard his yacht, Catch 23.
During his earlier stay, Jordan was seen enjoying local attractions, including the popular Imperial beer, and friendly interactions with fans.
The six-time NBA champion's participation in Costa Rican sport fishing highlights the activity's significance in the country's tourism sector, which generates annual revenues of over $500 million and attracts numerous international visitors, including high-profile figures.
