Jesús Rosales Pérez identified as a suspect in multiple recent homicides in Alajuelita, San José.
The Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) has called upon the public for assistance in locating Jesús Rosales Pérez, a 35-year-old man suspected of involvement in a series of homicides in Alajuelita, a district in San José,
Costa Rica.
According to Randall Zúñiga, director of the OIJ, Rosales Pérez is linked to several murders, including incidents that occurred in the Tejarcillos neighborhood.
He is wanted by the Ministerio Público and is considered necessary to be brought before them as soon as possible.
In less than 24 hours on Monday, Alajuelita recorded four homicides, with one case involving a triple murder during the early hours in Tejarcillos.
Later the same day, a fourth homicide took place at midday, coinciding with an ongoing security operation by the Fuerza Pública aimed at curbing the violence.
Security Minister Mario Zamora indicated that the recent spate of violence might be tied to an internal power struggle within the drug trafficking organization known as 'Los Lara.' However, reports suggest a possible conflict between 'Los Lara' and the 'Myrie' gang, with the latter's leaders currently incarcerated but allegedly still controlling both criminal networks.
